Scar Tissue Release

Scars have the strange power to remind us of fragility and resilience - of hurt and healing. -Khaled Hosseini

Transformative Scar Tissue Release

Gentle, Pain-Free Healing for Lasting Change

McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release (MSTR) is an innovative, pain-free method of helping you with your scars. It is a truly life-changing technique using gentle, fingertip pressure to help free the restrictions of scar tissue. According to research, if a scar is left untreated it may make other therapeutic interventions less effective or not last as long. Even though your scar may be many years old, this may be the release your body has been searching for. Often just one or two sessions can produce dramatic changes that you can see and feel.

In June 2019, a small preliminary study was carried out at the Newcastle Clinic in Newcastle Upon Tyne using ultrasound scanning to look at the effect of MSTR on c-section scars. After only 15 minutes there was, on average, a 50% reduction in scar size and also improved blood flow both around and into the scar. More research is planned.

MSTR

Scars can have a significant impact on our presenting problems, affecting us physically, mentally, and emotionally. MSTR has proven effective in addressing these symptoms. The reduction in visibility of the scars I've treated can also be an added bonus. Scars are the result of trauma to the body, which can affect us physically, mentally and emotionally. The affect they can have on the body can not be underestimated. Some effects include:

Restrictions in the fascia

Reduction in blood and lymph flow

Weakened muscular strength

Restricted movement

Postural distortion

Low self-esteem

Self-image problems

Tightness

Itchiness

Burning

Pain
